I’ll be honest, Halloween is not one of my favorite holidays. I enjoy all of the cute jack-o-lanterns and pretty costumes but none of the scary or gory stuff. Still, my kids do look forward to all of the festivities that surrounds it so I try and participate in my own sweet way. By this I mean we have princess or fun costumes, no skeletons or zombies here! Our decorations are all pretty and festive but in no way scary. Even our nightly book selection is fright-less!

Little do these ten trick-or-treaters know that they are the ones who will be frightened on Halloween night when a toad hops near, a skeleton tries to join their dance party, and a monster asks to share their candy.

Could the daytime be nearly as wonderful? Mama Owl begins to describe it to him, but as the sun comes up, Little Owl falls fast asleep.

Pinkalicious can’t believe it: The mayor has canceled Halloween because a storm has knocked out the town’s power. No Halloween means no Halloween candy. No Halloween jack-o’-lanterns. No Halloween trick-or-treating. No Halloween holiday parties. And worst of all, no Halloween costumes. Pinkalicious has the perfect Pinkagirl costume and she absolutely has to wear it.

Superhero Pinkagirl would find a way to save Halloween, and Pinkalicious decides she will too. All she needs to do is figure out a way to get the town’s lights back on. “‘Twas the night before Halloween, and all through the house, All the creatures were stirring, except for the mouse. The monsters had gathered to plan and prepare,For the trick-or-treaters who soon would be there?.”
